PolyvagalYoga.com. Polyvagal Theory is an idea first described by Dr. Stephen Porges. Dr. Porges, Deb Dana, and the faculty and staff at the Polyvagal Institute have expanded the concepts of Polyvagal Theory to include Polyvagal-informed practices. Building on the idea that the nervous system has more than the two traditional views of sympathetic and parasympathetic states, Polyvagal Yoga embraces the awareness of many states and our ability to self-regulate within those states.
TampaYogaTherapy.com. Tish Ganey is a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and an experienced, registered yoga teacher (ERYT-500) through Yoga Alliance and through the American Yoga Council. She is deeply involved in the mission of each of our partner sites and in bringing the knowledge and practices that benefit modern yoga and support traditional yogic philosophy.
Big Data Yoga. Yoga works. Let’s prove it. Big Data Yoga is the research arm of these partner sites and their practices. Up until very recently yoga research lacked the real means to qualify and quantify the effects of yoga practices. With technology (wearables, trackers, sensors) and understanding (Polyvagal Theory, HeartMath, heart rate variability) we now have a bigger window from which to view the world of yoga. We also have a way to prove what the body has always known: yoga works!
